Abstract

Kliniğimize 1985 - 1989 yılları arasında, avulsiyon yaralanması, yanık başta olmak üzere travmalar ve diğer bazı sebeplerle ortaya çıkan geniş deri defektlerinin onarımı için, başvuran 22 hastada mesh greft uygulaması yapılmıştır. Özellikli hir olguya ait resimler ile is- tatistiksel bazı sonuçlar yazıda sunulmuş ve «mesh» greftin üstün- lükleri tartışılmıştır.

Mesh Graft Applıcatıons In Large Skın Losses

Abstract

The speciality of plastic and reconstructive surgery is based on the transplantation and reorganization of tissue, In many instances, this involves the coverage of tissue defects, In cases which the skin defect is larger than the available donor skin area, such as in large burns, the mesh grafting solves the problem. A mesh graft is formed by passing the skin graft through a mesh-dermatome thus torming parallel perforations. A mesh graft is always a split thickness skin graft. In this paper, we have discussed mesh grafting and presented the treatment and results in 22 patients having large skin defects,
