Abstract

A.Ü. TIP Fakültesi iç Hastalıkları Kürsüsü Hemodiyaliz ünitesinde 1975-1980 Yılları arasında terminal böbrek yetmezlikli 103 •hastaya haftada enaz iki kez ortalama 8 saat olmak üzere toplam 5622 hemodiyaliz uygulandı, Olgularda gözlenen akut ve kronik kömplikasyonlar tartlyldl. Düzenli hemodiyaliz uygulanan bu olgularda ortalaması 34;5 3111, primer böbrek hastallžl % 58 oramnda glomeruólnef rit, ilk alti ayda mortalite. % 38' oranmda saptanml$lr. Ölüm nedenini ( % 56) çožunlukla kardiyovasküler sebepler olu$urmu$ùrl Literatüre göre kemik lezyonIan, infeksiyon özellikle hepatit dihük oranda görülmü$ür.

The Role of Hemodialysis in Renal Failure, Results and Complications

Abstract

In the Hemodialysis Unit of the Internal Medicine Department of the Faculty of Medicine of A.U. between the years of 1975-1980, a total of 5622 hemodialysis was applied to 103 patients with terminal renal failure at least twice a week for an average of 8 hours. The acute and chronic complications observed in the cases were weighed. In these cases who received regular hemodialysis, the average was 34;5 3111, primary renal disease was 58% glomerulonephritis, and mortality in the first six months was 38%. The cause of death (56%) was mostly cardiovascular causes. According to the literature, bone lesions, infection, especially hepatitis were seen at a low rate.
