Abstract

1. It has been determined that the determination of glycoprotein in serum is useful in the diagnosis of rheumatic diseases.
2. “The highest increase is in rheumatoid arthritis and spondylitis rhizomelic. For this reason, seromucoid determination is an important diagnostic tool especially for these two diseases.
3. Although there is an increase compared to normal in arthrosis, the values ​​were found to be lower than in the other two groups. In this respect, it has been determined that seromucoid determination is useful both in the diagnosis of arthrosis and in the separation of arthrosis from rheumatoid arthritis and spondylitis rhizomelic.
4; In the comparison of the methods determining seromucoid via hexose and tyrosine, similar results were obtained and it was determined that “both methods can be used with the same sensitivity. However, since it is difficult to work in an environment with concentrated H,S0 at high temperatures, the tyrosine method is easier than the hexose method and can be preferred.

Comparison of Serum Glycoprotein (Seromucoid) Determination Methods and Their Value in Rheumatic Diseases

Abstract

1. Serumda glikoprotein tayininin romatizmal hastalıkların teşhisinde faydalı olduğu tesbit edilmiştir.
2. “En fazla yükselme romatoid artrit ve spondilit rizomelikte olmaktadır. Bu sebeple seromukoid tayini bilhassa bu iki hastalık için önemli bir teşhis vasıtasıdır.
3. Artrozda normale nazaran bir yükselme olmakla beraber değerler diğer iki gruptakinden daha düşük bulunmuştur. Bu bakımdan seromukoid tayininin hem artroz teşhisinde ve hemde artrozun romatoid artrit ve spondilit rizomelikten ayrılmasında faydalı olduğu tesbit edilmiştir.
4; Seromukoid tayini için heksoz üzerinden ve tirozin üzerinden tayin yapan metodların karşılaştırılmasında ise benzer sonuçlar elde edilmiş ve“her iki metodunda aynı hassasiyette kullanılabileceği tesbit edilmiştir. Ancak yüksek sıcaklıkta derişik H,S0, li ortamda çalışmak zor olduğundan tirozin metodu heksoz metodundan daha kolaydır ve tercih edilebilir.
