Gastro-Duodenal Stress Ulcers in Surgery

Abstract

We observed a total of five gastric and duodenal stress ulcers that presented with bleeding between 1969 and 1997. We observed no significant difference in age. The emergence of gastric and duodenal stress ulcers is undoubtedly related to severe shock following various causes. Initial treatment of stress ulcers should be directed at complications. Our five cases were treated conservatively. One patient survived, and four died from stress ulcer complications.

Abstract

Biz 1969'dan 197#e kadar kanama ile ortaya çıkan toplam 5 mide -duodenum stress ülseri müşahade ettik.Yaş taksiminde önemli bir fark görmedik. Mide ve duodenum- daki stress ülserlerinin ortaya çıkışı şüphesiz ki muhtelif sebep- lerden sonra meydana gelen ağır şok durumuna bağlıdır. Stress ülserlerinin ilk atda yapılacak olan tedavisi kompli- kasyonlar üzerine yöneltilmelidir.
Bizim beş vak'amız konservatif olarak tedavi edilmiştir. Bir hasta kurtarılmış, dört hasta stress ülseri komplikasyonundan ölmüştür.
