Could It be Treated Hydatid Cyst With X-ray or α, β, and γ Rays?

Abstract

A laparotomy was performed on a patient with extensive abdominal dissemination following the rupture of a previously existing hydatid cyst. Numerous hydatid cysts, both large and small, were identified. In this situation, no surgical intervention was possible, and the patient's abdomen was closed. At the suggestion of Dr. H. Hızarcı, a total of 2500 x-rays were performed, resulting in clinical and subjective improvement.

Abstract

Evvelce mevcut bir hidatik kistinin (karında) patlaması neticesi, karında
geniş disseminasyon olmuş bir vak'aya laparatomi yapılmış ve
çok sayıda irili ufaklı hidatik kist tesbit edilmiştir. Bu vaziyette cerrahi
bir şey yapılamayan hastanın karnı kapatılmıştır. Dr. H. Hızarcı'nın
teklifi üzerine hastâya mecmuu 2500 r röntgen tatbik edilmiş
ve hastada klinik ve subjektif salah husule gelmiştir.
