A Case of Ophthalmoplegic Migraine

Abstract

Yazarlar, 20 yaşındaki bir kadın hastada gözlemledikleri oftalmoplejik migren vakasını sunmaktadır. Hastalık, temporal bölgeden oksipitale yayılan şiddetli baş ağrısı, bulantı, kusma, ptosis, diplopi ve okulomotor sinir felçleri ile karakterizedir. Literatür taraması eşliğinde olgunun semptomları, muayene bulguları ve tedavi süreci detaylandırılmıştır. Anti-inflamatuar ve vitamin tedavisiyle klinik iyileşme sağlanmış; ptosis ve diplopide gerileme izlenmiştir. Oftalmoplejik migrenin nadir görülmesi nedeniyle vaka sunumu yapılmıştır.

Bir Oftalmoplejik Migren Vak'ası

Abstract

Authors present a case of ophthalmoplegic migraine in a 20-year-old female patient. The condition is characterized by severe headache radiating from the temporal to occipital regions, nausea, vomiting, ptosis, diplopia, and oculomotor nerve paralysis. The clinical symptoms, examination findings and treatment course are detailed alongside a literature review. Anti-inflammatory and vitamin therapy led to clinical improvement, with regression of ptosis and diplopia. The rarity of ophthalmoplegic migraine justifies publication of this case.
