Abstract

1- Türkiye'de lepra vak'alarının sayısı, bunların Anadolu'daki dağılışları, klinik formları, kadın erkek arasındaki nispetleri tetkik edilmiştir. Bulgular diğer otörlerinkilerle mukayese edilmiştir.

2- 1966 senesi sonunda Türkiye'de 3585 lepra hastası vardır. Bu miktar her yıl ortalama olarak 250 artış göstermektedir.

3- Eşantiyonaj şeklinde yapılan taramada bazı illerde aramada bulunan yeni lepralıların miktarı, eski kayıtların 1.5 mislidir.

4- Tetkik edilen lepralı hastaların % 67 si erkek, % 33 iü kadındır. Literatürde tüberküloid tipte kadın erkek arasında fark yokken, bizde erkeklerde fazlalık görülmektedir (35 kadın/65 erkek).

5- Tetkik edilen lepra vak'alarının % 58,66 lepramatöz, % 21,72 tüberküloid, % 15,78 indeterminata, % 3,82 borderline klinik tipinde idiler. Lepramatöz tip hâkim tiptir.

The Present Position of Leprosy in Turkey

Abstract

1- The number of the leprosy cases in Turkey, their distribution in Anatolia, the clinical forms, and the ratio between males and females have been analysed. These findings have been compared with those of the other authorities.

2- In Turkey, there were 3585 leprosy patients at the end of 1966. This amount increases approximately 250 cases more, every year.

3- In a random survey arranged in some provinces, it is found that the quantity of the new leprosy patients was 1.5 times more than the old registered ones.

4- Out of the examined leprosy patients, 67% were males while 33% were females. In the tuberculoid type, no sex differences were found in a review of the literature, while in our analysis males outnumbered females (35 females/65 males).

5- The percentages of the types of the leprosy cases were as follows 58,66% lepromatous, 21,72% tuberculoid, 15,78% indeterminate, 3,82% borderline. Lepromatous was the dominant type.
