Pattern design is the arrangement of fabric surface with design elements such as color, form and texture. In these days, when traditional methods are gradually getting decreased, digital technologies are playing a great role in creating a new design language. Digital tools provide countless means for the processes of detailed drawings and coloring. The design in this dynamic structure confronts us as an important factor in creating difference and originality in textile design. The objective of the study is to examine the effects of digital tools on pattern design. Depending on this objective, a design project was carried out with practice-based research method in Digital Textile Design course conducted within the frame of Master’s Degree Program of Design, at the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Selçuk University. Textile pattern collections arranged by the students have been analyzed in terms of their color, motif, composition and design features in the project. In the study, case study method was used, and the findings obtained from project outputs have been shared in the conclusion part.
