Abstract
Religious leaders can play an important role in establishing sustainable relations between the state and the religious community. In this regard, the article describes Shami-Damulla, who came from the Arab province to Tashkent in order to spread the ideas of fundamentalism, and the work of his followers.

Abstract
Религиозные лидеры могут сыграть важную роль в установлении устойчивых отношений между государством и религиозным сообществом. В связи с этим в статье описывается Шами-Дамулла, приехавший из арабской провинции в Ташкент с целью распространения идей фундаментализма, и творчество его последователей.
