Abstract

The presence and the coexistence of
three main religions such as: Islam, Orthodox and Catholic, have made
interfaith tolerance to be a historical necessity, serving as a medium and
factor to ensure national unity and the existence as a nation although Albanian
people have never separated religious devotion from national interest.

As the matter of fact neither type of
religion cannot and must not predict human discrimination because of religious
disparity, because all of them have in their basis human equality towards God.
“Brotherhood” notion descends from
every religion in a certain sense: 
peace, mutual understanding, not “homogeneity” or “supremacy”, but
people’s mutual respect of each belief.
