KOSOVO WITHIN THE PERSPECTIVE OF ALBANIAN HISTORY

Abstract

Abstract

With the beginning of the NATO bombing campaign over the then Yugoslavia, in order to protect the two million Kosovar Albanians within the Kosovo province, the word Kosovo became popular among a lot of countries and nations of the world. In its real sense the word Kosovo signifies more than NATO and media are propagating. In fact the problem of Kosovo is not the problem of a province within the Former Yugoslavia as we hear from the media and western countries. In its essence Kosovo reflects a far more deeper and much more wider problem. It reflects the unjust and pragmatic behavior of the Catholic west and Orthodox east with Albanian land and nation the overwhelming majority of which are Muslims; a fact that, the world in general and Muslims in particular are left ignorant of it, because the West and Russia want them to remain so, in order to hide the greatest fraud and hypocrisy done by their predecessors to the only Muslim country in Europe, namely Albania. It is this reality that we intend to clarify and elaborate in this work. Meanwhile, this represents our main aim in writing this paper.
