Thoughts of Kosovo’s intellectuals About Belief an Thought Freedom, Religion Education and Scarf Veil
Abstract
Freedom of belief and thought has been mostly debated among Islamic Societies in the last century. According to these discussions, secularism, headscarf and religious education have been considered from various aspects. In that sense, The Republic of Kosovo, the latest country in the world, involved in these current discussions. The increasing debates day by day attract the attention of every segment of society. Today’s Kosovan intellectuals also take part in these discussions as new religion movements arouse after the war. From which perspective do the intellectuals who are the leaders in the society look at these discussions about the religion which is the necessity of the society? In that context, the ideas of the intellectuals about these kind of significant and critical issues are so valuable. Intellectuals will generate permanent solutions for issues such as freedom of belief and thought, religious education, and headscarf by taking the needs of the society into consideration.
