Mildiyöye (Peronospora destructor Berk) Dayanıklı Soğan Çeşitlerinin Araştırılması Üzerine Bir Deneme

Abstract

Türkiye'de ve tüm dünyada, soğanlarda en çok hasara yol açan hastalık tüylü küftür. Üreticiler çeşitli kimyasallar kullanarak bu hastalıkla mücadelede başarılı olamamaktadır. Bu nedenle, Sebze Bölümü Şefi Hüseyin Akgün tarafından bitkisel özellikleri açısından incelenen soğan çeşitleri üzerinde çeşit dayanıklılığı çalışması yapmayı amaçladık. Enstitü arazisinde, tamamen tesadüfi deneme deseninde dört tekrarlamalı bir deneme kuruldu. Her parselin aralığı 100x120 cm idi. Soğan fideleri 12 Nisan'da, sıra ve sütunlarda sırasıyla 10x25 cm aralıklarla dikildi ve gözlemler aşağıdaki ölçeğe göre 17 Temmuz'da kaydedildi. -Yapraklarda, keselerde ve tohum saplarında soluk, beyaz veya mor renkli lezyon(lar) olmayan bitki (bağışık) -Yapraklarda sadece birkaç soluk, beyaz veya mor lezyon bulunan, ancak uçlarında bozulma olmayan ve saplarda enfeksiyon olmayan bitki? (daha az duyarlı) - Yapraklarda ve gövdede nadiren soluk renk veya beyaz veya mor renkli lezyonlar bulunan, ancak yaprak uçlarında bozulma olmayan bitki (duyarlı) - Yapraklarda, kese üzerinde ve tohum sapında soluk, beyaz veya mor renkli lezyonlar bulunan ve yaprak uçlarında bozulma görülen bitki (çok duyarlı) - Enfekte olur olmaz solgunlaşan ve bozulan ölü yapraklara sahip bitki (çok duyarlı) Çeşitlerin indekslenmiş sonuçları grafikte belirtilmiştir. Çeşitlerin neredeyse tamamı, duyarlı (2) ve çok duyarlı (3) olmak üzere iki sınıf arasında yer almıştır. Çeşitlerin hiçbiri istenen sınıfta dirençli görünmese de, F testinin %5 seviyesinde 19; 60 df (hesaplanan F=5,6; tablolanan F=1,77) ile varyasyon önemli bulunmuştur. Çoklu Aralık Testinin %5 düzeyinde (20), (15), (19) ve (1) numaralı çeşitlerin en hassas sınıfta, (8), (13), (17) ve (11) numaralı çeşitlerin ise en az hassas sınıfta yer aldığı görülmüştür.

An Experiment on the Research of Onion Varieties Resistant to Downy Mildew (Peronospora destructor Berk)

Abstract

In Turkey, as in all of the world, the downy mildew is the most destructive disease on onions. Growers fail to succeed in controlling it using various kinds of chemicals. Due to this fact, we aimed to work on the onion varieties, (which have been examined from the view point of vegetable characteristics by Hüseyin Akgün, the chief of the Vegetable Section.) for varietal resistance. A trial was set up in the Institute’s field, in completely random design with four replications. The space of each plot was 100×120 cm. Onion sets were planted on 12. April at intervals 10×25 cm in row and column, respectively; and observations were recorded on 17. July, according to the scale below. -Plant which has no pale or white or violet color lesion (s) on leaves, on sacks and on seed stems (immune) -Plant which has only few paled or white or violet lesions on the leaves but no distortion at the tip, and no infection on the stems? (less susceptible) -Plant which seldomly has pale color or white or violet color lesions on the leaves and on the stem but no distortion at the tip of the leaves (susceptible) -Plant which shows pale or white or violet lesions on the leaves, on the sack and on the seed stem with the appearance of distortion at the tip of the leaves (very susceptible) -Plant which has dead leaves showing distortion and paling as soon as getting to be infected, (highly susceptible) The indexed results of the varieties were indicated on the graphic. Almost all of the varieties took place between the two grades, the susceptible (2) and very susceptible (3). Although none of the varieties seemed to be resistant at a desired grade, variation was found significant at 5% level of F test with 19; 60 df (calculated F=5,6; tabled F=l,77). At the 5% level of the Multiple Range Test, it showed that the varieties with the numbers (20), (15), (19) and (1) categorized in the top susceptible class and the numbers (8), (13), (17) and (11) were in the least susceptible class.
