Marmara Bölgesinde Yetiştirilen Soğan Popülasyonlarının Muhafaza Sürelerinin Araştırılması

Abstract

Marmara Bölgesi'nde soğanlar ilkel yöntemlerle depolanmakta olup özellikle ihracatta filizlenme büyük bir sorun teşkil etmektedir. Çalışmada soğanların depolanması ile ilgili iki ayrı deneme yapılmıştır. İlk deneme 0-2℃ sıcaklık ve %85-92 bağıl nem ortamında soğuk hava deposunda yapılmıştır. Soğanlar 6 ay süreyle soğuk hava deposunda bekletilmiş ve bu sürenin sonunda filizlenme gözlenmemiştir. İkinci deneme tarlada tel örgülü kalemler ile yapılmıştır. Bu yöntemler ile yetiştiricilerin kullandığı geleneksel yöntem karşılaştırıldığında tel örgülü kalemlerde daha az filizlenen soğan olduğu görülmüştür. Bu yöntemin kolay ve ekonomik olması nedeniyle bölgedeki soğan yetiştiricilerine 4-5 aylık depolama periyodu için tel örgülü kalemler önerilmektedir.

A Study on Storing of Onions Grown in The Marmara Region

Abstract

In the Marmara region, onions are stored by primitive methods and sprouting is a big problem especially for export purpose. In the study there are two different trials done on storing onions. First trial has been done under cold store conditions at the temperatures of 0-2℃ and at the rate of 85-92% relative humidity. Onions were kept in cold store for 6 months and at the end of this period no sprouting was observed. Second experiment has been done with wire mesh pens in the field. Comparison between these methods with traditional method used by growers showed wire mesh pens had less sprouted onions. Since this method is easy and economical the wire mesh pens are recommended for 4-5 months storing period to onion growers in the region.
