Kestanelerin Aşıyla Çoğaltımı Üzerinde Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Seleksiyon çalışmalarının ilk kademesinde seçilmiş olan kestane tip ve çeşitlerinin aşıyla çoğaltımında en uygun zaman ve yöntemi saptamak amacıyla, iki tohum anacı üzerinde, iki yıllık (1981, 1982) bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmada, uygulanması kolay ve aşı materyalinden en yüksek ölçüde yararlanılabilen göz aşı yöntemleri denenmiştir. Bunlar yapılma zaman ve yöntemlerine göre: durgun T aşı, ilkbaharda sürgün T ve ters T aşı ve epikotil üzerine yongalı göz aşı (chip budding) olarak gruplandırılabilir. Araştırmadan aşağıdaki sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Anaç materyalini sağlayan çeşitlerin (51101, 51111) tohumlarının 3.5-4 ay süreyle katlanmaları ve sonra harç karışımlı ortamlara ekilmeleriyle çimlenme oranı %90 ve daha yüksek düzeye ulaşmıştır. Her ilk çeşidin tohumlarından elde edilen çöğürler bir yıllık büyümeden sonra aşılanabilecek duruma gelmişlerdir (çap: 6-7 mm). Böylece ikinci yılın sonunda aşılı fidan elde etmek mümkün olmuştur. Durgun aşılardan en iyi sonuçlar Ağustos’un ikinci 10 günü içinde elde edilmiş ve aşı tutumu yıllara göre genel ortalama olarak %29.1-31.5 bulunmuş, en yüksek değer %63.1 olarak saptanmıştır. İlkbaharda (5-24 Mayıs), sürgün T ve ters T aşılardan genel ortalama olarak %72-85 oranında aşı tutumu sağlanmış, bazı çeşitlerde bu oran %90-100’e kadar yükselmiştir. Ters T aşılar, T aşılara göre kısmen daha iyi sonuç vermiştir. Epikotillere uygulanan yongalı göz aşıdan elde edilen aşı tutma oranları zamanlara göre ortalama %2-44 arasında değişmiş, en yüksek oran %56 olmuştur.

A Study on Budding of Chestnut

Abstract

This study was carried out to find the suitable method and time of budding of some chestnut cultivars chosen before on two different type of seedling stocks in two years (1981, 1982). Budding methods have been tested preferably, because they could be applied more easily and need less labour and scion material than any of the other grafting method. Treatments could be grouped as follows: Dormant T budding, Spring T and inverted T budding, Chip budding of epicotyls of sprouted seeds. The following results have been obtained from the experiment. The seeds of the cultivars that given the stock material have been stratified first at 4℃ for 3.5-4 months, and then placed into the plastic bags contained mixed soil (1-part soil 1-part manure 1-part sand). This procedure raised the germination percentage of the seeds over 90%. Stock materials obtained from the two cultivars seeds reached to the condition that could take bud in the same year (6-7 mm in diameter). So budded young plants could be obtained in the second year. In connection with the dormant T budding, the best results have been obtained in the second ten part of August, and bud take varied as the total average 29.1-31.5% according to the years. The highest bud take was 63.1%. 72-85% bud take have been obtained as the total averages from the spring buddings (5-24 May), and bud take percentages were as high as 90-100% in some cultivars. Better results have been obtained from inverted T budding. Averages of bud take of chip budding varied 2-44% in respect with the time of budding. The highest bud take was 56% in this method.
