Örtüaltı Çilek Yetiştiriciliği ve Türkiye’deki Durumu

Öz

Çilek türleri genel olarak kuzey yarım kürede yayılmakla birlikte, tropiklerden arktik bölgelere kadar dünyanın tarım yapılan bütün alanlarında çilek yetiştiriciliği yapılmaktadır. Dünyada çileğin üretimine bağlı olarak pazarı da büyümüş ve tüketicilerin yıl boyu çileğe talepleri de artmıştır. Bu talep nedeniyle çilek yetiştiriciliğinde hasat periyodunu uzatma önem kazanmıştır. Çilekte hasat periyodunu uzatma metotlarından biri de örtüaltı yetiştiriciliğidir. Dünyada çilek yetiştiriciliği esas olarak açıkta yapılmakla birlikte son yıllarda hasat sezonunu uzatmak ve sezon dışı üretim yapmak için yüksek tünel ve seralarda çilek yetiştiriciliği giderek değer kazanmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada örtüaltı çilek yetiştiriciliği, kullanılan yapılar, üretim esasları, Türkiye’de örtüaltı çilek yetiştiriciliğinin mevcut durumu literatür bilgisi altında incelenmiştir.

Protected Strawberry Cultivation and Status in Turkey

Abstract

Strawberry species generally spread in the northern hemisphere, but from the tropics to the arctic regions in all areas of the world are cultivated. Depending on the increase of production of strawberry in the world, the market has grown very much and the demand for year round strawberries has increased. Due to this demand, extending the harvest period in strawberry cultivation gained importance. One of the methods to extend the harvest period in strawberry is protected cultivation. In the world strawberry cultivation is mainly carried out in open, however, in recent years strawberry cultivation in high tunnels and greenhouses has started to gain value in order to extend the harvest season and make off–season production. This study examined the protected strawberry cultivation based on production principals used in protected cultivation and current situation of protected cultivation in Turkey.
