Hasat Sonrası 1-Methylcyclopropane (Smartfresh) Protab Uygulamalarının Santa Maria ve Deveci Armut Çeşitlerinde Kaliteye Etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Marmara bölgesi açısından büyük önem taşıyan Deveci ve Santa Maria armut çeşidinde hasat sonrası 1-Methylcyclopropane (1-MCP) protab uygulamalarının soğuk muhafaza süresince meyve kalitesine olan etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla iki armut çeşidinde hasat sonrasında sırasıyla 625 ppb, 312.5 ppb ve 156.25 ppb dozlarında 1-MCP protab uygulamaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulamalar sonrasında tüm meyveler; 60, 120 ve 180 gün süreyle soğuk muhafaza edilmişlerdir. Her soğuk muhafaza süresi sonunda meyveler 7 gün süreyle raf ömrüne tabi tutulmuşlardır. Her iki çeşide ait meyvelerde hasattan sonra ve her soğuk muhafaza süreciyle raf ömrü sonunda; meyve eti sertliği, suda çözünür kuru madde oranı, zemin rengi değişimi ve toplam fenolik bileşik miktarı gibi bazı kalite özellikleri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre 625 ppb dozunda 1-MCP (Smartfresh) protab uygulamasının muhafaza ve raf ömrü sürecinde kalitenin korunumu açısından en etkili uygulama olduğu saptanmıştır. Bunu 312,5 ppb uygulama dozu takip etmiştir.

The Effects of Postharvest 1-Methylcyclopropane (Smartfresh) Protab Applications on Quality of Deveci and Santa Maria Pear Varieties

Abstract

In this research, the effects of postharvest 1-Methylcyclopropane (1-MCP) protab applications on quality of Deveci and Santa Maria pear varieties that are very important for Marmara region during cold storage were carried out. For this purpose, postharvest 1-Methylcyclopropane (1-MCP) protab applications with 625 ppb, 312.5 ppb and 156.25 ppb doses were implicated on two pear varieties. Fruits were kept for 60,120 and 180 days after applications respectively. Fruits were kept at shelf life for 7 days after each cold storage period. Some quality parameters such as fruit firmness, soluble solids concentration, titratable acidity, skin color development and total phenolic compounds were assessed after harvest and each storage period. According to the results, 1MCP (Smartfresh) protab application with 625 ppb dose was fixed as the most effective applications as keeping the quality parameters during cold storage and shelf life. Besides 312.5 ppb dose followed this application.
