İki Önemli Parazitoit: Homolobus truncator (Say) ve Homolobus annulicornis (Nees) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

Abstract

Braconidae (Hymenoptera) 17.963 tür ile en zengin parazitoit böcek familyalarındandır. Homolobinae, sahip olduğu 158 tür ile Braconidae’nin en küçük altfamilyalarından biridir. Palearktik Bölgede tek bir cins (Homolobus Foerster) ile temsil edilen bu altfamilyadaki türler, bünyesinde önemli meyve, sebze ve endüstri bitkilerinin zararlılarını barındıran Noctuidae, Geometridae, Lymantriidae, Lasiocampidae ve Pyralidae (Lepidoptera) familyalarının endoparazitoiti olması nedeniyle önem arz eder. Bolu ve Afyonkarahisar illerinde 2003 ve 2007 yıllarında yürütülen arazi çalışmalarında ışık tuzağı ve Malaise tuzak kullanılarak parazitoit örnekleri toplanmıştır. Toplanan örneklerin ilgili literatür kullanılarak teşhis edilmesi sonucunda, Homolobus truncator (Say) ve H.annulicornis (Nees) türlerine ait oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Her iki türde, Bolu ilinden ilk kez bu çalışma ile kaydedilmiştir. Mevcut literatüre göre, Homolobus truncator türünün 36, H.annulicornis’in ise 20 konukçu türü bilinmektedir. Bu konukçular arasında, sert ve yumuşak çekirdekli meyvelerin ana zararlılarından Malacosoma neustria (Lep.: Lasiocampidae) ile sebze ve endüstri bitkilerinin ana zararlılarından Agrotis ipsilon, A.segetum, Spodoptera littoralis (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) ve Loxostege sticticalis (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) yer almaktadır. Biyolojik mücadele etmenlerinin zararlı türlerin popülasyonlarını baskı altında tutmada oynadıkları rol dikkate alındığında, geniş bir konukçu çeşitliliğine sahip bu parazitoit türlerin tespiti oldukça önemlidir.

Two Important Parasitoid: Homolobus truncator (Say) and Homolobus annulicornis (Nees) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

Abstract

Braconidae (Hymenoptera) is one of the richest parasitoids families with 17.963 species. Homolobinae has got 158 species. It is one of the smallest subfamilies of Braconidae. This subfamily represents with Homolobus Foerster genus in Palearctic Region. Most of their species are very important endoparasitoids of fruits, vegetables and cash crops pests in Noctuidae, Geometridae, Lymantriidae, Lasiocampidae and Pyralidae (Lepidoptera) families. Parasitoid specimens were collected using light trap and Malaise trap from Bolu and Afyonkarahisar provinces in 2003 and 2007. The collected specimens were identified as Homolobus truncator (Say) and H.annulicornis (Nees) using literature. Both species were first recorded from Bolu. According to literature, 36 host species of Homolobus truncator and 20 host species of H.annulicornis are known. Among the hosts, there are Malacosoma neustria (Lep.: Lasiocampidae) which is main pest of stone and pome fruits, Agrotis ipsilon, A.segetum, Spodoptera littoralis (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) and Loxostege sticticalis (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) which are main pests of vegetables and cash crops. Determination of these parasitoids is very important when considered the role of biological agents to keep down pests populations.
