Çileklerde Doğal Gölgelemenin, Verim ve Bazı Meyve Kalite Özellikleri Üzerindeki Etkileri

Öz

Bu çalışma 2014-2015 yetiştirme döneminde Yayladağı ilçesinde (Hatay ili) çilek yetiştiriciliği yapılan alanda yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada bitkisel materyal olarak Camarosa çilek çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yetiştiricilik alanı sınırlarında bulunan çam ağaçlarının doğal gölgesinde kalan (Gölgeli) bitkiler ile gölgelemeden etkilenmeyen (Gölgesiz) bitkiler kullanılmıştır. Denemede verim, bazı meyve kalite özellikleri (ağırlık, suda çözünebilir kuru madde, (SÇKM), asitlik, SÇKM/asit oranı, pH, sertlik ve meyve dış rengi) ve fitokimyasal içerikler (toplam fenol içeriği, toplam antioksidan kapasitesi ve toplam antosiyanin miktarı) incelenmiştir. Uygulamalar verim, SÇKM, SÇKM/Asit, meyve rengi (L, a, b, c ve hue°) ve toplam antosiyanin üzerinde etkili olurken, meyve iriliği, pH, asit, meyve eti sertliği ile toplam fenol içeriği ve toplam antioksidan kapasitesi üzerinde etki oluşturmamıştır. Bitki başına verim bakımından Gölgesiz uygulama Gölgeli uygulamasından yaklaşık iki kat daha yüksek verim vermiştir. Meyve dış renk bakımından Gölgeli uygulaması bir miktar daha açık renkli meyveler verirken, toplam antosiyanin miktarı bakımından 1.3 kat daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak güneş ışığının ve gölge uygulamalarının özellikle verim ve bazı meyve kalite özellikleri üzerinde önemli etkisi görülmüştür.

The Effects of Natural Shadow on Yield and Some Fruit Quality Features of Strawberries

Abstract

This study was carried out in the under-cultivation area of strawberries during 2014-2015 growing season in Yayladağı district of Hatay. Camarosa cultivar of strawberry was used as plant material. Some plants were under the natural shade of the pine trees located in the border area of the cultivation (shady) and some were not under any shade (unshaded). Yield, some fruit quality characteristics (weight, soluble solids, acidity, SS/acidity ratio, pH, firmness and fruit exterior color) and phytochemical contents (total phenol content, total antioxidant capacity and total anthocyanin content) were investigated. Applications were effective on SS, SS/Acidity, fruit color (L, a, b, c and hue°) and total anthocyanin content but weren’t effective on fruit weight, pH, acidity, fruit firmness, total phenol content and total antioxidant capacity. In terms of per plant yield, unshaded applications were about two times higher than shady applications. Fruit external color obtained a little lighter color for shady applications. The total anthocyanin content in the shady practices were 1.3 times higher. As a result, there is a significant effect of sunlight and shadow applications on yield and some fruit quality features.
