DETERMINATION OF VARIETY OF Brassicaceae GROWING NATURALLY IN THE CAMPUS AREA OF VAN YÜZÜNCÜ YIL UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

Abstract

In this study, the diversity of the natural spread of taxons belonging to the Brassicaceae family (Turpgiller) which is one of the largest families in Turkey in terms of plant diversity has been investigated in Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Campus. Area studies were carried out in 2006. 102 samples belonging to Brassicaceae family were examined within the specified location boundaries and 40 taxons (species and subspecies) belonging to 25 genus were determined. Hirschfeldia Moench (H. incana (L.) Lag.-Foss.) and Sinapis alba L. species were identified in the Eastern Anatolia Region and Brassica rapa L. and B. oleacea L. species were identified for the first time in the square B9. The change of diversity over time was evaluated in the area of the campus, where human influence influences the environment intensively. In this study, we examined the spread of taxons in a field modified by human influence and therefore how the diversity of the family has been changed.

VAN YÜZÜNCÜ YIL ÜNİVERSİTESİ KAMPÜS ALANINDA DOĞAL OLARAK YETİŞEN Brassicaceae ÇEŞİTLİLİĞİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi Kampüsü’nde bitki çeşitliliği açısından Türkiye’nin en büyük familyalarından Brassicaceae (Turpgiller) familyasına ait doğal yayılış gösteren taksonların çeşitliliği araştırılmıştır. Arazi çalışmaları 2006 yılında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Belirlenen lokasyon sınırları içerisinde Brassicaceae familyasına ait 102 örnek incelenmiş ve toplam olarak 25 cinse ait 40 takson (tür ve tür altı) tespit edilmiştir. Bu taksonlardan Hirschfeldia Moench (H. incana (L.) Lag.-Foss.) cinsi ve Sinapis alba L. türü Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde, Brassica rapa L. ve B. oleacea L. türleri iseB9 karesinde ilk kez belirlenmiştir. İnsan etkisinin oldukça yoğun olarak çevreyi etkilediği sınırları belirlenmiş kampüs alanında, çeşitliliğin zaman içerisindeki değişimi değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışmada insan etkisiyle değiştirilmiş bir alandaki taksonların yayılışlarının ve dolayısıyla familyanın çeşitliliğinin nasıl değişikliğe uğradığı incelenmiştir.
