Domates (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)’in Çimlenme Aşamasında Bor’a Tepkisi

Abstract

Denemede iz element olarak önemli olan ancak yüksek konsantrasyonlarda olumsuz etkileri bulunan ağır metallerden borun; 0, 100, 250, 500, 750, 1000 ve 2000 mg.L-¹ dozlarının domates (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. cv. Falcon) tohumlarında çimlenme, radikula ve hipokotil gelişimi üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada çimlenme oranı ve çimlenme süresi üzerine borun artan konsantrasyonları sınırlandırıcı etki yapmıştır. Borun radikula ve hipokotil özelliklerinin boy, yaş ve kuru ağırlık ve bu özelliklere ait tolerans indekslerinde ve vigor indeksinde önemli düzeylerde azalmalara neden olduğu saptanmıştır.

Response of Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) to Boron During Germination Stage

Abstract

In this study, boron from heavy metals which very important as trace elements but have negative effects at high concentration were investigated in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. cv. Falcon) seeds on germination, radicle and hypocotyl developments. For this aim, Boron at 0, 100, 250, 500, 750, 1000 and 2000 mg.L-¹ were used. Increased concentrations of boron were limited the germination rates and duration. The use of high concentration of boron caused significant decreases in length, fresh and dry weights of radicles and hypocotyls and in tolerance and vigor indexes of the same characteristics mentioned above.
