Mandarin (Citrus spp.) Çeşitlerinin Kâğıt Kromatografi Tekniği İle Tanımlanması Üzerinde Araştırmaları

Abstract

Citrus cinsi, evriminde en yüksek düzeyine ulaşmış bulunmaktadır. Gerek bu cinse giren türler, gerekse akraba cinsler arasındaki hibritlerin aseksüel üretim yollarıyla stabilize oluşları, taksonomik sorunlar doğurmuştur. Bu sorunu çözmek için klâsik taksonomik karakterler yanında, kimyasal karakterler de kullanılmaktadır. Bu araştırmada yaprak fenolik bileşikleri kâğıt kromatografi yoluyla belirlenmiş; çeşitli ayıraçlar, UV ve spektroskopi yardımıyla da sınıflandırılmışlardır. Özgün spotların ele alınan Rize, Satsuma owari, Yerli, Wilking, Kinnow, Klemantin, Ponkan, Fremont, Fortune ve Fairchild varyetelerindeki varlığı bilgisayarla değerlendirilerek varyeteler arası ilişkiler dendogram olarak saptanmıştır. Dendogram, üç farklı grubun birbirine farklı düzeylerde bağlandığını göstermiştir. Araştırma, fenolik bileşiklerin sınıflandırma amacıyla çeşit düzeyinde kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir.

The Recognition of Mandarin (Citrus spp.) Cultivars by Paper Chromatography

Abstract

The genus Citrus reached its peak of progressive evolution after a very long period. The taxonomic problem of this genus is complicated by the broad inter fertility, not only of intrageneric hybrids, but also intergeneric hybrids and a long period of natural hybridization. To solve this complication, chemical characters have been used with together botanical ones in taxonomical studies. In this study, ten different mandarin cultivars, Rize, Satsuma Owari, Yerli, Wilking, Kinnow, Klemantin, Ponkan, Frement, Fairchild and Fortune, were screened for their leaf phenolic patterns with the help of paper chromatography. The dendrogram showed three distinct groups of cultivars, linked with each other at different levels. In contrast to other chemical characters of which most art used at the species level; phenolic compounds can be used at the varietal level for classification.
