Abstract

Coscia, Passa Crassane ve Williams çeşitleri ile East Mailing Quince A Tipi ve yerel armut fidanı üzerinde armut anaç denemesi 1969 yılında Yalova Bahçe Kültürleri Araştırma Enstitüsü'nde kurulmuştur. İstatistiksel tasarım, tesadüf blokları yöntemi ile dört tekrarlamalı olarak yapılmıştır. Beurre Hardy ara ürün olarak kullanılmıştır. Anaçların verim, büyüme, çiçeklenme, meyve büyüklüğü ve rengi üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. İlk sekiz yıldaki verim sonuçlarına göre East Mailing Quince A Tipi yerel fidandan üstün görünmektedir. East Mailing Quince A Tipi kullanılan bütün çeşitlerin çiçeklenme süresini 1-3 gün, hasat süresini ise 2-7 gün uzatmaktadır. Ayrıca East Mailing Quince A Tipi meyvelerde daha iyi renklenme göstermiştir. Meyve büyüklüğü kayıtlarından, bodur anaç üzerindeki ağaçların erken yıllarda, sekizinci yıla kadar, daha kuvvetli anaç üzerindeki ağaçların ise daha fazla meyve ağırlığı verenlerden daha iyi sonuçlar verdiğini söylemek mümkündür. Sonuç olarak, ilk sekiz yıl sonuçlarına göre East Mailing Quince Tip A çeşidinin fide çeşidine göre daha üstün olduğu söylenebilir.

The First Eight Years Results of Pear Rootstock Trial

Abstract

Pear rootstock trial with Coscia, Passa Crassane and Williams cultivars on East Mailing Quince Type A and local pear seedling stock was established at Yalova Horticultural Research Institute in 1969. Statistical design was at randomized blocks with four replications. Beurre Hardy was used as Intermediate stack. Rootstock influences with regard to yield, growth, blooming, size and color of fruits were investigated. According to the yield results of first eight years east Mailing Quince Type A seems to be superior to the local seedling stock. East Mailing Quince Type A enhances blooming 1-3 days and 2-7 days the picking times of all cultivars used. Furthermore, East Mailing Quince Type A resulted better coloring on fruits. From the records of fruit size, it is possible to say that the trees on the dwarfing stock gave better results in early years, up to the of their eighth year, than the on the more vigorous stock which gave a greater actual weight of fruit. Finally, it can be said that East Mailing Quince Type A seems to be superior to seedling stock based on results of the first eight years.
