Abstract

Elma çeşidi toplama bahçesi, metinde verilen tablolarda listelenmiş 10 yerli ve 15 yabancı orijinli çeşitten oluşmaktadır. Gözlem altındaki deneysel plantasyon, aşırı kurak yaz veya soğuk kış döneminin olmadığı ve hemen hemen hiç ilkbahar donunun olmadığı bir iklim bölgesinde yer almaktadır. Tüm çeşitler için anaç olarak yerel fidanlar kullanılmıştır. Ağaçlar 8x8 m aralıklarla dikilmiştir. Tomurcuk şişmesi, tomurcuk patlaması çiçeklenme dönemleri, toplama ve yaprak dökümü tarihleri ​​gibi bazı fonolojik özellikler 7 yıllık bir süre boyunca toplanmıştır. Ayrıca meyve büyüklüğü, verim kapasitesi, hasat öncesi dökülme, ağaçlardaki iyi renkli meyvelerin yüzdesi, büyüme ve mahsul ilişkileri kaydedilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, bu ön seleksiyona göre, Starkrimson Delicious ve Starkspur Golden Delicious çeşitlerinin verim kapasitesi, meyve düzenliliği, meyve kalitesi ve ticari değer açısından en umut verici olduğu söylenebilir. Yukarıda belirtilen çeşitleri Starking Delicious, Stayman Winesap, Golden Delicious ve Jonathan takip etmektedir.

Promising Apple Cultivars for Marmara Region

Abstract

Apple variety collection orchard consisted of 10 local and 15 foreign originated cultivars are listed on tables given in the text. The experimental plantation under observation was situated in a climatic region characterized by no extremely dry summer nor cold winter period and with practically no spring frosts. Local seedling stock was used as rootstock for all cultivars. The trees were planted at 8×8 m apart. Some phonological characteristics such as bud swelling, bud breaking flowering periods, picking and defoliation dates were collected over a period of 7 years. Furthermore, fruit size, yielding capacity, pre-harvest drop, percentage of well colored fruits on trees, growth and cropping relations have been recorded. As a conclusion, according to this preliminary selection, it can be said that Starkrimson Delicious and Starkspur Golden Delicious cultivars were the most promising with regard to yielding capacity, bearing regularity, quality of fruits and commercial value. Those above-mentioned varieties are followed by Starking Delicious, Stayman Winesap, Golden Delicious and Jonathan.
