Abstract

Türkiye taze şeftali ihracat pazarındaki gerilemenin temel nedeni, Bursa bölgesinde J.H. Hale dışında ihracata uygun başka bir çeşidin dış pazara sunulmak üzere büyük miktarlarda yetiştirilmemesidir. Bir çeşit için deniz yoluyla bir ihracat pazarı oluşturulabilmesi için, bir bölgede ortalama 5.000 ton üretilmesi gerektiği tahmin edilmektedir. Coronet, Red Haven, Sunhigh, J.H. Hale, Loring ve Rio-Oso-Gem olmak üzere altı çeşidin ihracat için yetiştirilmesi önerilmektedir. Bu çeşitler birinci sınıf meyve olup çok iyi nakliyecidir; farklı zamanlarda olgunlaşırlar ve bu da şu anki birkaç güne kıyasla yaklaşık iki aylık bir ihracat süresine olanak tanır. Bursa fidanlıklarında bu ihraç edilebilir çeşitlerden yılda 600.000 tomurcuk üretimi için geçici bir beş yıllık plan verilmiştir. Bu plan gecikmeden başlatılırsa, 1977-1978 yıllarında 60.000 ton şeftali üretimi gerçekleştirilebilir ve bunun 30.000 tonu birinci sınıf kalite olarak ihraç edilebilir. Nematodlara karşı oldukça dayanıklı olan Nemaguard fidelerinin anaç olarak kullanılması önerilmektedir.

Guidelines and Recommendations for Fresh Peach Exports

Abstract

The lagging at the Turkish export market of fresh peaches is mainly due to the fact that in Bursa area, no other varieties adequate for export than J.H. Hale are grown in big quantity to offer to the foreign market. It is estimated that an average of 5.000 tons of one variety should be produced in one area, before an export market of that variety could be established by sea. Six varieties Coronet, Red Haven, Sunhigh, J.H. Hale, Loring and Rio-Oso-Gem are recommended to be grown for export. They are first quality fruit and very good shippers; they ripe at different times which will allow an export period of about two months, against the present few days. A tentative five-year plan for the production of 600.000 buddings per year of these exportable varieties, in the Bursa nurseries is given. This plan if started without delay, could lead to the production of 60.000 tons of peaches in 1977-1978, of which 30.000 tons of first grade quality could be exported. It is proposed to use as rootstock the Nemaguard seedlings which are highly resistant to nematodes.
