Author Guidelines

The Bartın University Journal of Women, Children and Family Studies accepts only original research articles prepared in accordance with scientific and ethical standards.

The studies submitted for evaluation by the authors must be original, not previously published, and not under review by another journal. All authors are deemed to have approved the content and submission of the study.

Article submissions are accepted year-round. Publication planning is based on the completion dates of the referee and editorial evaluation processes. Only one work by the same author is published in an issue. In case there is more than one accepted work by the same author, the editorial decision decides which work will be published first. Papers presented at a scientific meeting may be accepted provided that the meeting place and date are clearly stated.

Academic ethics, editorial independence, and the prevention of conflicts of interest constitute the fundamental principles of publication for BARU-JWCFS. In line with these principles, submissions authored by members of the journal’s editorial board are not accepted. This approach aims to ensure the impartiality of the peer-review process and to safeguard transparency in publication policies. The journal keeps endogeneity (internal authorship) to a limited level (0-15%) to maintain editorial independence, and editors withdraw from the evaluation process in cases of conflict of interest.

In order for the articles sent to the journal to be evaluated, they must be prepared in accordance with the journal's 📝 Article Writing Template.docx. Studies that do not comply with the spelling rules specified below in the template will not be evaluated.
