Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine is an open access, peer-reviewed journal scientifically supported by the University of Health Sciences (SBU), Traditional and Complementary Medicine Application and Research Centre (GETAT UAM).
The journal is aimed at researchers and educators, including health care practitioners who are interested in both traditional and integrative medicine and seek impartial and critical information about these fields.
The journal tries to connect traditional medicine with evidence-based complementary medicine through scientific foundations. In order to achieve this goal, the Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine; is an innovative, international and interdisciplinary platform.
The Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine is an interdisciplinary journal focusing on academic researches and clinical studies in the field of integrative medicine.
It aims to be a leading journal for studies in the field of integrative medicine and to promote communication and integration between traditional medical systems, complementary and alternative medicine, and traditional Anatolian, Chinese and European medicine. The editorial board is committed to publishing high-quality articles on integrated medicine and creating an open forum where the international scientific community can exchange views, share research and clinical experiences, discuss integrative medicine education, and talk about the issues and problems in our various disciplines. Thanks to its international scope, the journal allows for widespread handling of research and progress from all regions of the world.
Topics covered include all aspects of integrative medicine such as acupuncture and burning, traditional Anatolian medicine, Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, chiropractic, mind-body medicine, Taichi, Qigong, meditation and any other form.
The journal focuses primarily on original research articles that include basic science studies, systematic reviews, and randomized controlled studies, while pre-clinical and clinical studies, patient-centered efficacy studies, case series and reports, clinical trial protocols, qualitative, observational and epidemiological studies, meta-analysis, and articles regarding methodology studies can also be published in the journal. In addition, review articles can be published in the journal. Moreover, there is the possibility to publish medical history or training, conference procedures, editorials, comments, short reports, book reviews, letters to the editor, articles on health care and policy, health economics and psychology.
The types of articles include pharmacological studies, randomized controlled and pragmatic studies, review and patient-centered efficacy studies, case series and reports, clinical trial protocols, pre-clinical and basic science studies, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, and articles on methodology. There is also the possibility to publish medical history or trainings, conference procedures, editorials, comments, short reports, book reviews and letters to the editor.

Language of Writing: The language of writing in our journal is Turkish and/or English, and the text of the article should be written in an understandable, simple and fluent style with technical expressions in the relevant field. For articles written in Turkish, the Turkish and English versions of the abstract should be submitted with the article. Unnecessary and well-known information and unnecessary sources should be avoided and previously published data, formulas and results should be cited and quoted. Nomenclature, abbreviations and symbols should be used in accordance with international standards. Abbreviations specific to the article or used in the related field should be indicated in parentheses at the first mention. SI (Systemé International) units and abbreviations are accepted in the article.
The articles to be published in our journal must be within the rules of scientific ethics. The recommendations of ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and the "International Standards for Editors and Authors" of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) should be taken into consideration by the authors in the scientific articles to be submitted to the Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine.
-Since blind refereeing is used, only author information and notes (acknowledgments, project support information, etc.) should be included on the first page of the article file; the text of the article should start from the second page of the file.
Title: Each article should have a title in Turkish and English. It should be short, clear and adequately reflect the content of the article and should be written in capital letters and bold.
Abstract and Keywords: (Times New Roman 10 pt.) The Turkish abstract should reflect the purpose, scope and results of the study. The abstract should be at least one hundred and at most two hundred words, and Turkish keywords of at least three and at most six words should be written one line below the abstract. In addition, the abstract, title and keywords should be written in English in the same order. In articles written in a foreign language, the title, abstract and keywords should be written in Turkish, English and the language of writing. Care should be taken to avoid language mistakes in foreign language abstracts.
Main Text: Times New Roman 12 pt. It is preferred that articles should be written using MS Office Word program (with .doc or .docx extension), not exceeding fifteen (15) pages for research articles and twenty (20) pages for review articles.

Main headings: Times New Roman 12 pt. All capital letters, left justified and bold. Except for the INTRODUCTION and CONCLUSION sections, they should be numbered.
Figures, tables, maps and photographs should not extend beyond the writing area, and each should be placed on a separate page if necessary.Figures and tables should be numbered and titled in Turkish and English according to their content. Numbers and titles should be written in Times New Roman 12-point font, with only the first letters of the words capitalized, under the figures (centered) and above the tables (left-justified).

REFERENCES
It should be given in Times New Roman 10 font size at the end of the article.
Plagiarism Check
The Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine, in accordance with its publication standards, requires the verification of plagiarism to protect the integrity of any work that passes the "Blind Peer Review Process". In this context, the editorial board will check the Turkish and English versions of each article for plagiarism.
Turnitin or iThenticate software is used to detect plagiarism. Once plagiarism is detected, the matches obtained in each study are carefully examined and the matches with correct references and cross-references are sorted.Any remaining matching errors are then identified and presented to the editorial board. The Board then decides on a final course of action in light of the plagiarism report. The manuscript may be returned to the author or the author(s) may be asked to correct the errors mentioned in the report(s).
The Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine accepts publications with a maximum plagiarism rate of 20%. If not, the publication is sent back to the author for checking.
The Journal of Integrative and Anatolian Medicine commits to abide by the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE) Code of Conduct guide available at www.publicationethics.org.
No Article Process Charging (APC) etc. is required for the articles published in the journal.
Our journal does not charge any submission or publication fees.
