Rasyona Lavanta Esansiyel Yağı İlavesinin Yumurtlayan Bıldırcınlarda Performans, Yumurta Kalitesi ve Serum Parametreleri Üzerine Etkisi

Year 2021, Volume: 10 Issue: 1, 20 - 27, 17.06.2021

Abstract

Bu çalışma rasyona farklı seviyelerde ilave edilen lavanta esansiyel yağının yumurta dönemindeki Japon bıldırcınlarında (Coturnix Japonica) performans, yumurta kalitesi ve serum parametreleri üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada rasyona 0, 25, 50, 100, 200 ve 400 mg/kg seviyelerinde lavanta esansiyel yağı ilavesinin oluşturduğu, her birinde beş dişi bıldırcın bulunan beş tekerrürlü altı muamele grubunda yürütülmüştür.

Effect of Supplementation of Lavender Essential Oil to the Diet on Performance, Egg Quality and Serum Parameters in Laying Quails

Year 2021, Volume: 10 Issue: 1, 20 - 27, 17.06.2021

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the effect of lavender essential oil added at different levels to the diet on performance, egg quality and serum parameters in laying period of Japanese quails (Coturnix Japonica). The study was conducted in six treatment groups with five replications, each consisting of five female quails, with the addition of lavender essential oil at 0, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg levels to the diets. A total of 150 female quails at the age of eight weeks were given feed and water ad libitum for twelve weeks.
While the effect of dietary addition of lavender essential oil on performance parameters on egg production (P<0.01), egg weight (P<0.05), egg mass (P<0.05) and feed intake (P<0.05) was statistically significant, but this effect was not significant in body weight and feed conversion ratio (P>0.05). While the fractured egg ratio, eggshell breaking strength and eggshell weight were not affected by the addition of lavender essential oil to the diets (P>0.05), the eggshell thickness increased significantly with the addition of lavender essential oil at levels of 200 and 400 mg/kg (P<0.01). Egg internal quality parameters were not affected by the addition of lavender oil to the diet (P>0.05). Addition of lavender essential oil to the diet significantly affected HDL level among serum biochemical parameters (P<0.01), and serum HDL level increased significantly with the addition of lavender essential oil at levels of 200 and 400 mg/kg to the diet. In conclusion, it can be said that the addition of lavender essential oil at the level of 100 mg/kg to the diet is effective on better of eggshell thickness and the addition of this essential oil at the 200 mg/kg level is improve serum HDL in layer quails.
