Abstract
In this paper we do an analyse on Anrdeas Tietze’s etymological dictionarie’s second volume which includes words about Turkish lexicology. Tietze expresses at his dictionarie’s preface that he couldn’t determined the etymology of some words. This words was marked at the dictionary with two question mark. Abstract
Bu çalışmada Andreas Tietze tarafından hazırlanmış olan ve Türkiye Türkçesinin söz varlığına ait kelimeleri ihtiva eden etimolojik sözlüğün ikinci cildi üzerinde durulacaktır. Tietze, eserinin ön sözünde incelediği bazı kelimelerin kökenini tespit edemediğini ifade eder. Bu kelimeler sözlükte çift soru işareti ile gösterilmiştir. Biz, bu durumdan hareket ederek sözlüğü baştan sona okuduk. Tietze’nin kökeni konusunda tereddüt yaşadığı bazı kelimeler hakkında görüşlerimizi ortaya koyduk.Tarihi ve Etimolojik Türkiye Türkçesi Lugatı’nın ilk cildi 2002 yılında yayımlandığında Türkoloji camiasında, özellikle de Türkiye’de büyük yankı ve heyecan uyandırmıştı. Gerçekten de bu heyecan, yıllardır dilimize pelesenk olmuş “Türkiye Türkçesinin sağlam ve güvenilir bir etimolojik sözlüğü hâlâ yazılamadı.” sözünün gerçeğe dönüşmesinin sonucu muydu acaba? Hele hele Tietze’nin sözlüğün altı yedi cilt gibi düşünüldüğünü ifade etmesi umutları iyice yeşertmişti
