Words and affixes make up the structure of Turkish. The language enlarges the vocabulary
generally by applications of root+affix, body +affix, word+word rules. In the Turkish language
spoken in Turkey, we come accross with new approaches to word derivation. This new approach
occurs with the proliferation of the first syllable of the old words to make up a new word. As
for examples we may give Kanka (kan kardeşi), Akbil (akıllı bilet), Kapkaç (kaptı kaçtı), etc.
This study covers the questioning of new made up words using the “Copy – Cut – Paste”
methodology and analysis of the characteriscs of the derived words, its structure and placement
within the language.
