Performance of the Copper Based Grinding Wheels
Abstract
The present study relates
to design of grinding wheels in terms of improving their performance with
respect to surface quality of glasses during grinding. The performance of the
copper based grinding tools was investigated on the production line in a flat
glass factory. Tools were manufactured under selected sintering temperature and
pressure circumstances. The grinding wheel economic service life was determined
and the surface roughnesses of the samples were assessed with experimental
study. Ideal microstructure conditions and grinding parameters were figured
out.
