In
this study, the vascular flora of Beydere village and its surroundings have
been investigated between 2005 and 2007 years. 840 plant specimens have been
collected from the research area. As a result, 278 species, 66 subspecies and
36 varieties which belong to 273 genera and 63 families, 380 taxa as a total
have been determined from the research area. The rates of the species belonging
to the certain phytogeographical regions are as follows: the Mediterranean
elements 96 (25.26%), the Euro-Siberian elements 13 (3.42%), the Irano-Turanian
elements 8 (2.10%). The rates of cosmopolitan or phytogeographically unknown
taxa are 263(68.94%), recpectively. The number of endemic taxa found in the
research area is 7, so that the endemism ratio is 1.84%. From 380 taxa, 2 taxa
belong to the Pteridophyta division whereas 378 taxa belong to the Spermatophtya
division. Out of 378 taxa belonging to the Spermatophyta dvision, Gymnospermae
and Angiospermae subdivisions have 5 and 373 taxa, respectively. 55 taxa of
Angiospermae belong to Monocotyledones and rest (318 taxa) belongs to
Dicotyledones. The largest 5 families
according to their taxa number in the research area are as follows: Fabaceae
(53; 13.94%), Asteraceae (45; 11.84%), Poaceae (33; 8.68%), Brassicaceae (22;
5.78%) and Apiaceae (20; 5.26%). The largest 5 genera according to their taxa number
in the area are as follows: Trifolium (5), Bromus (7), Vicia (5), Medicago (5),
