Abstract
Suriye’de 2011 yılında başlayan iç savaş süreci ve günümüze de-
ğin devam eden çatışmalar ülke için içinden çıkılamaz bir hal almıştır.
Ancak bu durumun nedenleri sadece Suriye’nin yakın dönemde yaşadı-
ğı politik konjonktürden kaynaklanmamakta ve dahi farklı pek çok dinamiği
bünyesinde barındırmaktadır. Bu makalede ise Suriye tarihindeki
otokratik rejim geleneği incelenmiş ve bu rejimlerin günümüze değin
süre gelen etkileri ortaya koyulmuştur. Peşi sıra yaşanan iç savaşın nedenleri
Ekonomik, siyasi ve sosyal boyutlarıyla irdelenmiştir. Son olarak
Suriye’de yaşanan iç savaşın dış dinamikleri masaya yatırılmış ve
küresel ve bölgesel güçlerin bu süreçteki rolü değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
The situation in Syria has come to a dead end as a result of
the ongoing civil war that started in 2010. Nevertheless, this situation
is not only the result of the recent conjunctures; there are many other
dynamics that have had a direct impact as well. This paper analyses
the history of autocratic regimes tradition in Syria and emphasizes the
impact of these regimes in the current events. Moreover, there are examined
the main economic, political and social reasons behind the
civil Syrian war. Finally, the paper elucidated on the external dynamics of the civil war by taking in consideration the role of the global
and regional powers.
