Abstract

Human beings are not independent of emotions. It is one's emotions that determine one's actions. The feeling of hope is one of the most basic emotions that enable people to continue their lives. A person without hope does not make an effort for anything, does not expect anything, does not carry any enthusiasm for the next day. In this context, hope becomes not only an emotion but also something as necessary as air for human existence. The author has dealt with these concepts in a broad perspective with a focus on hope and expectation. Although the book deals with the feeling of hope in a psychological context, examples from other fields such as literature, painting and music are also included. In this work, in which he explains that hope is an indispensable part of human life and how and to what extent it affects mental health, there are many aspects that the reader can apply to himself based on this book and cases. In this context, the book contributes to the field of social sciences by addressing human concerns, expectations, hopes and hopelessness.

Bekleyiş ve Umut

Abstract

İnsan duygulardan bağımsız bir varlık değildir. Eylemlerini belirleyici şey kişinin duygularıdır. Umut duygusu da insanın yaşamına devam edebilmesini sağlayan en temel duygulardan biridir. Umutsuz kimse, herhangi bir şey için çaba sarf etmez, beklentide olmaz, ertesi gün için içinde bir heves taşımaz. Umut bu bağlamda yalnızca duygu değil insanın varlığını devam ettirebilmesi için de hava kadar gerekli bir şey haline gelir. Yazar, umut ve bekleyiş odağında bu kavramları geniş bir perspektifle ele almıştır. Her ne kadar kitapta umut duygusu psikolojik bağlamda ele alınmışsa da edebiyat, resim, müzik gibi diğer alanlardan örneklere de yer verilmiştir. Umut etmenin insanın yaşamının vazgeçilmez bir parçası olduğunu, ruh sağlığını nasıl ve ne derecede etkilediğini anlattığı bu eserinde okuyucunun da bu kitaptan, vakalardan hareketle kendine tatbik edebileceği pek çok yön vardır. Kitap, bu bağlamda insanın kaygılarına, beklentilerine, umut ettiği ve etmediği pek çok şeye yönelerek sosyal bilimler alanına katkı sağlamaktadır.
