Kireçli toprakta mısır bitkisine (Zea mays everta) uygulanan borun verim ve bor kapsamına etkileri

Year 2017, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 37 - 42, 16.03.2017

Abstract

Bor
bitkisinin (Zea mays everta) dane verimi, 1000 dane ağırlığı, dane ve yaprak B
kapsamına etkileri araştırılmıştır. Deneme tarla şartlarında tam şansa bağlık
blok deneme desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak yürütülmüştür. Varyans analiz

Effects of boron application to corn plant (Zea mays everta) on yield and boron content in the calcerous soil

Year 2017, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 37 - 42, 16.03.2017

Abstract

Boron (B) is an essential micro
nutrient element that can exhibit serious yield loses in lack of it, although
it is necessary in small quantities for most of plants. In this study, the
effects of B application at 0, 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 2 kg/ha doses into the
calcareous soil on grain yield, 1000 grains weight, grain and leaf boron
contents of popcorn plant
(Zea mays everta) were investigated.
The field experiment was carried out with 3 replications depending on completely randomized
block design. Variance analysis results showed that B application in increasing
doses to popcorn plant affected grain yield and 1000 grains weight
(285.74
g) significantly
at 5% level, and grain and leaf B contents at 1% level. Optimum grain yield
(5972.4
kg/ha), 1000
grains weight and grain B content
(8.06 ppm) were stasistically
determined at 0.25 kg B/ha dose, and also optimum leaf B content (8.34 ppm) was determined at 0.5
kg B/ha dose. Increases in yield components were found as 17.63, 19.86, 91.60
and 62.29 %, respectively. The highest increase was determined as the following
order; grain B content > leaf B content > 1000 grains weight > grain
yield. As a conclusion, it was determined that the highest increase in grain yield, 1000
grains weight, grain B content of popcorn plant grown and
optimum
level to the yield components in calcareous soil condition were determined
at 0.25 kg B/ha dose.
