ANTRENMANIN SIÇRAMA PERFORMANSI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİNİN FARKLI YAŞ GRUBU ÇOCUKLARDA İNCELENMESİ

Year 2010, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 116 - 124, 01.08.2010

Abstract

INVESTIGATION THE EFFECTS OF TRAINING ON JUMPING PERFORMANS IN DİFFERENT AGED CHILDREN

Year 2010, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 116 - 124, 01.08.2010

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to investigate the effects of training on jumping performance in different aged children, and to compare the effects between sexes. 11, 12 and 13 year’s old children, who train regularly three times a week, were compared with the same age control group. The physical characteristics were measured through standard protocols at the same time of day and “Siri” formula was used to estimate body fat mass. Squat jump SJ , counter movement jump CMJ and 15 second-repeated rebound jump RRJ were performed. There was significant difference between SJ and CMJ in each 11, 12 and 13 aged trained girls and boys groups. Furthermore, there was significant difference between trained and untrained groups in 11 and 12 aged girls for SJ, CMJ and RRJ jumps, in 13 aged girls for SJ and RRJ jumps, in 11 aged boys for SJ, CMJ and RRJ jumps, in 12 aged boys for SJ and CMJ and in 13 aged boys for CMJ and RRJ jumps. There was significant difference between trained 13 aged girls and boys for CMJ jump; however, there wasn’t significant difference in trained 11 and 12 aged girls and boys for SJ, CMJ and RRJ jumps. In conclusion it is observed that elastic strength determined by CMJ performance may be trained in these age groups and there is no sex difference for this feature in 11-12 age groups
