Yapay Zekâ Uygulamalarının İş Süreçlerine Katkısı

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı iş süreçlerinde yapay zekâ uygulamalarının etkilerini ulusal ve uluslararası alanyazındaki çalışmalara dayalı ve karşılaştırmalı olarak ortaya koymaktır. Sistematik literatür incelemesi metodolojisine dayalı olarak yürütülen çalışmada ulusal alanyazın için Dergipark veritabanı, uluslararası alanyazın ise Web of Science veritabanı üzerinden taranmıştır. Bu kapsamda “yapay zekâ” “iş süreçleri” “işletme” ve “yönetim” anahtar kelimeleriyle yapılan taramada ulusal veritabanından 14, uluslararası veritabanından 16 makale araştırmaya dahil edilmiştir. İş süreçlerinde yapay zekâ kullanımı eğitimden turizme geniş bir kullanım alanına ve karar vermeden pazarlama faaliyetlerine uzanan geniş kullanım amacına sahiptir. Bununla birlikte yapay zekâ uygulamalarının iş süreçlerine katkısı mevcut uygulamaların irdelenmesine dayanırken uluslararası alanyazında uygulamalardan ziyade temel teknolojilerin farklı bileşimleriyle özgün uygulamalar yaratılmasına odaklanılmaktadır. Bu yönüyle yapay zekâ uygulamalarının iş süreçlerine etkisine ilişkin uluslararası alanyazının eylem araştırması yöntemini benimsediği anlaşılmaktadır. Süreç tanımlama kapsamında iş süreçlerinde yapay zekâ kullanımının mevcut durumu insan ve organizasyon uyumu, rekabet ve işletme yönetimi, risk ve güvenlik yönetimi süreç takibi ve yönetimi, veri analizi ve güvenirliği temalarıyla ortaya konulmuştur. Uluslararası alanyazında iş süreçlerinde yapay zekâ kullanımı kaynakların etkin kullanımı, aksaklık ve hataların önlenmesi, süreç optimizasyonu ve iyileştirilmesi, esneklik ve çeviklik sağlanması amacıyla süreç geliştirme bakış açısıyla ele alınmaktadır. Döngüsel ekonomiyi güçlendirme, yoğun iş yükünü yönetilebilir hale getirme, verimliliği arttırma, veriye dayalı öngörülerde bulunma gibi birçok güçlü yönü ve atalet eğilimine neden olma, etik kavrama eksikliği, hukuki altyapının yetersiz olması gibi gelişime açık yönleri bulunmaktadır. İş süreçlerinde yapay zekâ kullanımı ulusal uluslararası düzeyde işbirliği ağı kurma ve inovasyon ekosistemine dahil olma gibi önemli fırsatları sunmakta; ancak, duygu empatiden yoksunluk, mahremiyet ihlali istihdamı tehdit etme gibi ciddi riskler barındırmaktadır. Söz konusu risklerin çözümü için politika yapıcı, işletme yöneticileri ve araştırmacılara düşen yapay zekâ kullanımının toplumsal kalkınma ve gelişmişlik düzeyine katkı sağlayacağı alanların belirlenmesi, insan ve organizasyonel uyumunun desteklenmesi, uygulamalara temel oluşturan disiplinler arası araştırmalar yapılması gibi sorumluluklar bulunmaktadır.

Contribution of Artificial Intelligence Applications to Business Processes

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in business processes through a comparative analysis of national and international literature. A systematic literature review was conducted using the Dergipark database for national studies and the Web of Science database for international studies. The search included the keywords "artificial intelligence," "business processes," "business," and "management," resulting in 14 national and 16 international articles. The use of artificial intelligence in business processes has a wide range of applications, from education to tourism, and extends to various purposes, from decision-making to marketing activities. However, while the contribution of artificial intelligence applications to business processes is based on the examination of existing applications, the international literature focuses on creating original applications with different combinations of fundamental technologies rather than on applications. In this respect, it is understood that the international literature on the impact of artificial intelligence applications on business processes adopts the action research method. Within the scope of process identification, the current state of artificial intelligence usage in business processes has been presented through the themes of human and organizational alignment, competition and business management, risk and security management, process tracking and management, and data analysis and reliability. In the international literature, the use of artificial intelligence in business processes is addressed from the perspective of process development, aiming at the effective use of resources, prevention of disruptions and errors, process optimization and improvement, and ensuring flexibility and agility. It has many strengths such as strengthening the circular economy, making heavy workloads manageable, increasing efficiency, and providing data-driven insights, as well as areas for improvement such as causing inertia tendencies, lack of ethical understanding, and insufficient legal infrastructure. The use of artificial intelligence in business processes offers significant opportunities such as establishing a national and international cooperation network and integrating into the innovation ecosystem; however, it also carries serious risks such as lack of emotional empathy and privacy violations that threaten employment. To address these risks, policymakers, business managers, and researchers have responsibilities such as identifying areas where the use of artificial intelligence can contribute to social development and advancement, supporting human and organizational alignment, and conducting interdisciplinary research that forms the basis for applications.
