Abstract

The roots of the Turkish language dating back to the very ancient periods of history, the dark ages, have always been an area of interest for researchers with the phases it has gone through over time. Spreading over a wide area, Turkish has witnessed the lifestyles, cultures, beliefs and value judgments of the communities that speak it and has been instrumental in ensuring that these cultural motives are not forgotten by the younger generations. For this reason, it has always carried its existence beyond centuries, beyond generations in a solid way in development and vitality. Our language, which has become its present form by taking various forms at various times, is studied in various periods until today. The Turkish Simplification History of Yusuf Ziya Öksüz, who is the subject of one of these studies, the work entitled Young Pens and the New Language, which is the subject of the Deconstruction studies in the Turkish language in the period between 1891 and 1910. In this study, the mentioned work is considered in terms of form, language and content.

Yusuf Ziya Öksüz’ün Türkçenin Sadeleşme Tarihi Genç Kalemler ve Yeni Lisan Kitabı Kitap İncelemesi

Abstract

Türk dilinin tarihin çok eski devirlerine, karanlık çağlarına dayanan kökleri; zamanla geçirdiği evreler ile her zaman araştırmacıların ilgi alanı olmuştur. Geniş bir sahaya yayılan Türkçe; kendisini konuşan toplulukların yaşam biçimleri, kültürleri, inanç ve değer yargılarına tanıklık etmiş ve bu kültürel motiflerin genç kuşaklar tarafından unutulmamasına vesile olmuştur. Bu nedenle her zaman bir gelişim ve canlılık içinde varlığını yüzyıllar ötesine, nesiller ötesine sağlam bir biçimde taşımıştır. Çeşitli zamanlarda çeşitli biçimler alarak bugünkü haline gelen dilimiz günümüze kadar çeşitli dönemlerde incelenir. Bu incelemelerden birini konu alan Yusuf Ziya Öksüz’e ait Türkçenin Sadeleşme Tarihi Genç Kalemler ve Yeni Lisan isimli eser 1891-1910 arası dönemde Türk dilinde oluşan sadeleşme çalışmalarını konu almıştır. Bu çalışmada sözü geçen eser biçim, dil ve içerik yönünden ele alınmıştır.
