1. What are the areas covered by Journal of Social Sciences of Bulanık Vocational School  (BULSODER)?
Studies in the field of social sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Language and literature, Educational Sciences (provided that it is in the fields of Child Development, Special Education, Classroom Education, Preschool Education, Psychological Counseling and Guidance), Disaster Management, Public Relations, Faith Studies, Sustainability Studies, etc.) are within the scope of the journal.

2. What are the points to consider when submitting an article?
Studies to be sent to the journal must be prepared in accordance with the articles clearly stated in the ethical principles, publication policy and writing rules of the journal. Works submitted without paying attention to these issues will be returned by the editors.


3. How often and in what languages is the journal published?
BULSODER; It is published twice a year, in June and December. The publication language of the articles is Turkish, English and/or Kurdish.

4. When did the journal start its publication process?
The magazine will publish its first issue in December 2023.


5. How does the journal's evaluation process work?
Works sent to BULSODER for publication are first checked by the editor. Studies that fail to pass this stage are rejected without being directed to the field editors. Studies that pass the first stage are directed to the relevant field editor in line with the appropriate opinions of the editorial board. If the study is deemed appropriate, it moves on to the next stage. Studies that pass the second stage are directed by field editors to referees who are experts in the relevant field for evaluation. A double-blind referee system is used in this process. If necessary, the study may be sent to a third referee for evaluation. Studies that pass the third stage are corrected in line with the referee suggestions. More information can be found in the journal's "Ethical Principles and Publication Policy" menu.


6. How does the publication process of studies accepted for publication work?
Studies approved for publication by the journal editors, referees and the editorial board are queued for publication by the journal board. The process is carried out in a transparent manner by including the article arrival date and article acceptance date information on the journal page of accepted articles. The publication process is initiated based on the acceptance date of the relevant studies.

7. What types of articles do you accept? Is there any limitation regarding this?
Magazine; research article, review article, case report, book reviews, translation, etc. It aims to include scientific publications. There is no research article limitation in published issues. However, it is planned to include a maximum of four studies in each issue for other types of articles (reviews, case reports, book presentations, etc.). The editorial board may decide to reduce or increase this number.

8. What should be the similarity rate in articles? Which similarity programs would you prefer us to use? Should we upload the similarity report ourselves?

Articles to be published in the journal must have a similarity result of less than 20% in the first submission (This rate is not required for articles produced from thesis). Articles above this rate are returned to the author. Programs such as Ithenticate, turnitin, intihal.net can be used for similarity. The similarity report must be uploaded to the system by the author during article submission. Similarity scanning of articles for which a similarity report is not uploaded during the article submission process is carried out by the journal.


9. Where can I learn the index information of published articles?
Index information of the articles published in the journal is included in the "front pages" section and "full article file" of the issue where the published articles are included.


10. Do you prepare an "Article Acceptance Form" for accepted articles?
No, doi numbers are assigned to articles accepted for publication in our journal. You can confirm the acceptance status of the article with the doi number. In addition, articles accepted to be published in the journal are placed in the accepted articles tab on the homepage of the journal after the completion of the processes.


11. Is ethics committee permission required for all research articles?
No, ethics committee approval is not required for all research articles. Studies requiring ethics committee permission are as follows:
• All kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require collecting data from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment and interview techniques,
• Use of humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
• Clinical studies conducted on humans,
• Research conducted on animals,
• Retrospective studies in accordance with the personal data protection law,
