Abstract

Halil Baltacı’nın Tasavvufî Gelenekte Aşk ve Hakîkat: Mecazdan Hakîkate Aşk, Hakîkatten Mecâza Söz adlı eseri, tasavvufî aşkın tarihsel gelişimi, teorik altyapısı ve sembolik ifade biçimlerini inceleyen bir çalışmadır. Yazar, aşk kavramının tasavvufî düşünce içerisindeki gelişimini tarihî bir seyirle incelemiş ve bu konuda literatüre önemli bir katkı sunmuştur. Eser, giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişte tasavvufî aşkın İslâm geleneğindeki yeri genel hatlarıyla özetlenmiş ve bu kavramın tarihsel arka planı sunulmuştur. İlk bölümde tasavvufî aşkın teşekkül süreci ele alınarak, zühd döneminden itibaren muhabbet ve aşka dair ilk mutasavvıfların görüşleri incelenmiştir. Bu süreçte korku ve hüzün gibi anlayışların yerini muhabbetin aldığı aktarılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, tasavvufî aşkın teorik yönüne değinilmekle beraber ağırlıklı olarak Ahmed el-Gazzâlî, Aynülkudât el-Hemedânî, Rûzbihân-ı Baklî ve Fahreddîn-i Irâkî’nin eserleri etrafında şekillenen aşk anlayışı değerlendirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise tasavvufî aşkın edebî boyutuna ve sembolik dilin gelişimine değinilmiştir. Bu kısımda aşkın mecazî ve hakîkî anlamları, Fars ve Türk tasavvuf edebiyatındaki etkileri üzerinden değerlendirilmiş; şarap, sâkî ve meyhane gibi kavramların tasavvufî bağlamdaki anlam dönüşümleri açıklanmıştır. Baltacı, tasavvufî aşkın farklı boyutlarını bütüncül bir şekilde kaleme alarak aşkın tarihsel ve edebî mirasını 186 sayfa uzunluğundaki eseriyle, bilim dünyasına kazandırmış ve tasavvufun derûnî kavramlarını anlaşılır bir üslupla okuyucusuna sunmuştur.

Abstract

Halil Baltacı’s Love and Truth in Sufi Tradition: Love from Majaz to Truth, Word from Truth to Majaz is a work that examines the historical development, theoretical background and symbolic forms of expression of Sufi love. The author examines the development of the concept of love in Sufi thought through a historical course and makes an important contribution to the literature on this subject. The work consists of an introduction and three chapters. In the introduction, the place of Sufi love in the Islamic tradition is summarized in general terms and the historical background of this concept is presented. In the first chapter, the formation process of Sufi love is discussed and the views of the first Sufis on love and love from the period of asceticism are analysed. In this process, it is conveyed that understandings such as fear, and sadness were replaced by love. In the second part, although the theoretical aspect of Sufi love is touched upon, the understanding of love shaped around the works of Ahmad al-Ghazzālī, Ayn al-Qudāt al-Hamadānī, Rūzbihān al-Baqlī and Fakhr al-Dīn al-Iraqī is evaluated. In the third section, the literary dimension of Sufi love and the development of symbolic language are discussed. In this section, the metaphorical and literal meanings of love are evaluated through their effects on Persian and Turkish Sufi literature, and the meaning transformations of concepts such as wine, sâkî and meyhane in the Sufi context are explained. Baltacı has brought the historical and literary heritage of love to the world of science with his 186 pages long work by writing about the different dimensions of Sufi love in a holistic manner and presented the profound concepts of Sufism to his readers in an understandable style.
