Effects of Globalization Process on the Localization and Political Culture

Abstract

Globalization states a process that the world is in accord especially in the economic and cultural sense, and it is perceived as a single location. However, beside the emphasis performed on this connective and integrative way of globalization, it is accepted that it is destructive as well as connective, integrative as well as disruptive, and it also in holds a conflicting process. Therefore, this process also includes a new structuring in which the functions of nation-state or centralizedstate are interrogated. Another field where this process influences in which the fact of localization remains in with the fact of globalization is political culture. The main determiner of these changes is the post-fordist economy politics that was started to get practiced in 1970’s. Here with this study, the interaction between globalization and localization has been examined as part of post-fordist politics in the way to include the different approaches, and how this interaction forms the effect on the political culture and the political culture has also been examined

Küreselleşme Sürecinin Yerelleşme ve Siyasal Kültür Üzerindeki Etkileri

Abstract

Küreselleşme, dünyanın özellikle ekonomik ve kültürel anlamda benzeştiği ve tek bir mekan olarak algılandığı bir süreci ifade etmektedir. Ancak, küreselleşmenin bu birleştirici ve bütünleştirici yönüne yapılan vurgunun yanında, birleştirici olduğu kadar yıkıcı olduğu, bütünleştirici olduğu kadar parçalayıcı olduğu, çelişkili bir süreci de içinde barındırdığı kabul edilmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu süreç, ulus-devlet ya da merkezi devlet işlevlerinin sorgulandığı yeni bir yapılanmayı da içermektedir. Küreselleşme olgusuyla birlikte yerelleşme olgusunun ön planda olduğu bu sürecin etkilediği diğer bir alan da siyasal kültürdür. Bu değişimlerin temel belirleyicisi ise 1970’lerde uygulanmaya başlanan post-fordist ekonomi politikalardır. İşte bu çalışmayla, küreselleşme ve yerelleşme arasındaki etkileşim post-fordist politikalar bağlamında farklı yaklaşımları içerecek biçimde incelendiği gibi, bu etkileşimin siyasal kültür üzerindeki etkisi ve siyasal kültürü nasıl biçimlendirdiği de incelenmiştir
