Shirom-Melamed Tükenmişlik Ölçeğinin Güvenirlik ve Geçerlik Çalışması

Abstract

Shirom ve Melamed tarafından geliştirilen Tükemişlik Ölçeği’nin güvenirlik ve geçerliğinin incelenerek Türkçe uyarlamasının yapılması bu çalışmanın temel amacıdır. Çalışmada öncelikle Bristlin, Lonner ve Thorndike (1973) tarafından geliştirilen yöntem kullanılarak Shirom-Melamed Tükenmişlik Ölçeği’nin Türkçe’ye çevirisi yapılmış ve ölçek bir devlet üniversitesinin akademik ve idari personelinden oluşan 211 kişilik örneklem grubuna uygulanmıştır. Toplanan anketler doğrultusunda, ölçeğin iç tutarlılığı araştırılmış, yapı geçerliği ve ölçüt bağımlı geçerliği ele alınmıştır. Yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda, özgün ölçekle örtüşen ve “Duygusal yorgunluk”, “Fiziksel yorgunluk” ve “Bilişsel yorgunluk” boyutlarını içeren üç faktörlü yapı doğrulanmıştır. (χ2=1104, df=480, χ2/df=2,35; TLI=0,95; CFI=0,96; RMSEA=0,08). Ölçüt bağımlı geçerliği için Yaşam Tatmini ve İşten Ayrılma Niyeti Ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarının iç tutarlılık katsayılarının 0,66 ile 0,81 arasında değiştiği bulunmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular Türkçe’ye uyarlanan Shirom-Melamed Tükenmişlik Ölçeği’nin güvenilir ve geçerli olduğunu, Türkiye’de konu ile ilgili yapılacak çalışmalarda kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir

The Reliability and Validity of the Shirom-Melamed Burnout Measure

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to examine the reliability and validity of the Shirom-Melamed Burnout Measure in Turkish sample. The ShiromMealmed Burnout Meaasure was translated into Turkish and consequently the questionnaire was administered to a sample comprised of 211 academic and administrative staff of a public university. The internal consistency and constructcriterion validity were examined. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed the three dimensional factor sturcture consistent with the original scale including “physical fatigue”, “emotional exhaustion” and “cognitive weariness”. (χ2=1104, df=480, χ2/df=2,35; TLI=0,95; CFI=0,96; RMSEA=0,08). Internal consistency for the subscales ranged between 0,66 and 0,81. The findings showed that the ShiromMelamed Burnout Measure is a reliable and valid scale, and can be employed in assessing burnout in Turkish context
