Abstract

Günümüzde görsel-işitsel çevirinin insanların günlük yaşamlarında karşılaştıkları en yaygın çeviri tür- lerinden biri olduğu öne sürülebilir. Avrupa ülkelerinin çoğu, özellikle de orta Avrupa ülkelerinin çoğu kü- reselleşmiş kitle medyası ve iletişimi nedeniyle dışarıdan oldukça fazla sayıda görsel-işitsel ürün almakta- dır. Bu nedenle, çok sayıda izleyici tarafından tüketileceği için uygun çeviri gereksinimi doğmuştur. Son yirmi otuz yıldır bu bölgeye görsel-işitsel çalışmaların ithalinin artışını ve teknolojilerin gelişimi ve elektro- nik medyanın üstünlüğünü takiben görsel-işitsel çeviri sürecine dahil olan kişilerin profesyonel istekleri dik- kate değer biçimde artmıştır. Buı nedenle bu makale, görsel-işitsel metinlerin çevirilerine ilişkin bazı önem- li bulgulara genel bir bakış sunar ve görsel-işitsel medya çevirisiyle ilgilenen öğrencilerin eğitimi ve çeviri çalışmalarının öğretimindeki zorluklara odaklanarak geleceğe yönelik akademik ilgi alanları önerir
