Abstract

MANYETO-OPTiK UYGULAMALAR iÇiN GARNET ÜRETİMİ

Bu raporda manyetik ve optik uygulamalarda önemli bir yere sahip Garnet yapılar üzerinde
durulacaktır. Bu garnetlerden özellikle saf ve katkılı YIG (Y3Fe5O12-Yttrium Iron Garnet) üzerinde
durulacaktır. Garnet malzemelerin üretim yöntemleri, kullanım alanları ve karakterizasyon yöntemleri
(parametreleri) açıklanacaktır. Güncel üretim yöntemleri arasında yer alan ve yüksek saflıkta malzeme
üretimini sağlayan sol-jel yöntemi ile diğer üretim yöntemleri karsılastırılacak bu yöntem ayrıntıları ile
anlatılacaktır. Literatürde yapılan son çalısmalar ve yeniliklere yer verilecektir.

GARNET PRODUCTION FOR MAGNETO-OPTICAL APPLICATIONS

In this report garnet structures that have important areas in optical and magnetic applications are
emphasized. Especially pure and substrated YIG are more mentioned. Preparation methods, application areas,
characterization methods of garnet materials will be discussed. A preferred sol-gel method that provides
production of high purity materials in atomic dimensions will be explained by comparing with other
methods. The latest studies and innovations in literature about garnets will be explained in conclusion part.
