Abstract

BİRİM KÜRE YÜZEYİ ÜZERİNDE APOLLONIAN EĞRİLERİ
 
Öklid düzleminde P ve Q verilen iki sabit nokta olsun. P ve Q noktalarından uzaklıkları sabit bir m: n oranında olan tüm X noktalarının geometrik yerinin bir çember olduğu iyi bilinir, burada m, n (m  n ) pozitif tamsayılardır. Bu çember Apollonius’ın çemberi (veya Apollonian çemberi) olarak bilinir [Brannan-Esplen-Gray, 1]. Eğer m  n ise, d P, X  : d Q, X  1:1 olacak şekildeki X noktalarının geometrik yeri ise [PQ] doğru parçasının orta dikme doğrusudur. Bu makalede, 2 S birim küre yüzeyi üzerinde Apollonian eğrileri tanımlanmış ve bu eğrilerin küre yüzeyi üzerinde düzlemsel eğriler (büyük çemberler) ve düzlemsel olmayan eğriler olduğu elde edilmiştir.
 
APOLLONIAN CURVES ON THE SURFACE OF THE UNIT SPHERE
 
Let P and Q be two given fixed points in the Euclid plane 2 . It is well known that the locus of points X whose distances from the points P and Q are in a constant ratio m : n is a circle, where m, n ( ) m n  are some positive integers. This circle is known as the circle of Apollonius (or Apollonian circle) [Brannan-Esplen-Gray, 1]. If m n  , the locus of points X such that d P X d Q X  , : , 1:1     is the perpendicular bisector of the line segment [ ] PQ . In this paper, Apollonian curves on the surface of the unit sphere 2 S is defined, and these curves were obtained as planar curves (great circles) and non-planar curves on the sphere.
