1st International Egodocumental Network Conference. Egodocuments from Medieval Codex to Modern Media: Narratives, Presentations, Identities (Vilnius, Lithuania, 24–26 April 2025)

This study is a conference report evaluating the "1st International Egodocumental Network Conference" hosted by Vilnius University between 24–26 April 2025. As the first in-person event of the International Egodocumental Network, the conference brought together over 80 scholars from various disciplines such as history, literature, religion, and art history, featuring more than 70 papers covering a wide timeframe from the Middle Ages to the twenty-first century. The report summarizes the keynote addresses delivered by François-Joseph Ruggiu, Leona Toker, and Nataliia Voloshkova. Furthermore, it discusses the core academic challenges and solutions raised during the closing round table session, including the lack of archival tagging in egodocument studies, limited accessibility, and the need to solidify a common methodology.
 

Bu çalışma, 24–26 Nisan 2025 tarihlerinde Vilnius Üniversitesi ev sahipliğinde gerçekleştirilen "1. Uluslararası Egodoküman Ağı Konferansı"nı (1st International Egodocumental Network Conference) değerlendiren bir konferans raporudur. Uluslararası Egodoküman Ağı’nın ilk yüz yüze organizasyonu olan bu etkinlik; tarih, edebiyat, din ve sanat tarihi gibi farklı disiplinlerden 80'den fazla araştırmacıyı ve Orta Çağ'dan günümüze uzanan geniş bir zaman dilimini kapsayan 70'ten fazla bildiriyi bir araya getirmiştir. Çalışmada, François-Joseph Ruggiu, Leona Toker ve Nataliia Voloshkova tarafından sunulan anahtar konuşmaların içerikleri özetlenmektedir. Ayrıca konferansın kapanışındaki yuvarlak masa oturumunda ele alınan; egodoküman çalışmalarında arşivsel etiketleme eksikliği, sınırlı erişilebilirlik ve ortak bir metodoloji geliştirme ihtiyacı gibi temel akademik zorluklar ve çözüm önerileri tartışılmaktadır.
