Abstract

Existence in the Other Language (Equivalence in Arabic Translation) is considered to be the first academic work in Turkey that deals with Arabic-Turkish reciprocal translation from the perspective of translation studies. The book deals with theoretical and practical translation issues in a coherent manner. The problems encountered in the translation of word choice, collocation, idioms and proverbs are examined in detail and information is given on translation strategies that should be used to overcome these problems. This book is an important resource for those interested in translation studies in general and Arabic-Turkish translation in particular. The author's book is the only research book in this field that deals with Arabic-Turkish reciprocal translation from the perspective of translation studies. The introductory text provides detailed information about the content of the book.

Abstract

Öteki Dilde Var Olmak (Arapça Çeviride Eşdeğerlik), Arapça-Türkçe karşılıklı çeviriyi çeviribilim perspektifinden ele alan ve Türkiye'de telif edilen ilk akademik eser kabul edilmektedir. Yazarın, bu eseri Arapça-Türkçe karşılıklı çeviriyi çeviri bilimi perspektifinden ele alarak bu alandaki tek araştırma kitabı olma özelliğini taşımaktadır. Tanıtım metninde, eserin içeriği hakkında ayrıntılı bilgi verilmektedir.
