Abstract

Entsprechend der Bedeutung, welche die V a lo n e a e n , das sind die gerbstoffreichen Becher gewisser Eichen, im internatio- nalen Handel besitzen, besteht über dieses Gerbmittel eine um- fangreiche Literatür. Im hauptsâchlichsten Ursprungsland def Valoneae, der Türkei, die eine unbestreitbare Monopolstellung auf diesem Gebiet einnimmt, ist jedoch bisher keine gründliche Untersuchung öder Experimentalarbeit über diesen Gegenstand veröffentlicht worden.
