An Evaluation of Applicability of Disability Employment Methods

Abstract

Mainly there are seven methods for the employment of disabled people: the quota system, sheltered workshops, self-study method, the employment of the disabled without the obligation of employers, working at home, cooperative working method and employment in selected jobs where only disabled people are employed. In this study, the strengths and the weaknesses of these seven methods are introduced and their applicability is discussed. As a result, it is found that each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, and also the importance of eliminating various obstacles in the employment of the disabled regardless of the preferred method is emphasized.

Özürlü İstihdam Yöntemlerinin Uygulanabilirliği Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

Özürlülerin istihdamına yönelik başlıca yedi yöntem bulunmaktadır: Kota sistemi, korumalı işyerleri, kişisel çalışma yöntemi, işverenlerin zorunluluk olmadan özürlü istihdamı, evde çalışma, kooperatif çalışma yöntemi ve sadece özürlülerin çalıştırıldığı seçilmiş işlerde istihdam. Bu çalışmada, sayılan bu yedi yöntemin güçlü ve zayıf yönleri ortaya konmuş ve uygulanabilirlikleri tartışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak her yöntemin kendine göre avantaj ve dezavantajları olduğu tespit edilmiş, hangi yöntem tercih edilirse edilsin önemli olanın özürlü istihdamının önündeki engellerin çeşitli şekillerde kaldırılması olduğu vurgulanmıştır.
