Perception of Imprisoned and Convicts in Penal Institutions on Training Activities: T Type Closed Prison Case

Abstract

This study was conducted in order to identify the opinions of imprisoned and convicts in penal institutions about the training they had and to determine their needs for future employment. The study is a \"descriptive research\" since it has the purpose of determining the situation of evaluating training activities of the participants. The data needed for the purpose of research was collected via questionnaire form. 329 imprisoned and convicts in Penal Institution participated to the research. Data obtained in the scope of the research was analyzed with SPSS 17.0 statistical software package. It was found that imprisoned and convicts did not find  the educations given at penal institutions and the educators adequate , different reasons were found about not participating the education and despite these negative views it was found that these trainings had significant contributions to the imprisoned and convicts.

Ceza İnfaz Kurumlarındaki Tutuklu ve Hükümlülerin Eğitim Faaliyetlerine İlişkin Algıları: T Tipi Kapalı Ceza İnfaz Kurumu Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Ceza infaz kurumlarındaki tutuklu ve hükümlülerin almış oldukları eğitimler hakkındaki düşüncelerini tespit etmek ve gelecekteki istihdamlarına yönelik görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma, katılımcıların eğitim faaliyetlerinin değerlendirilmesine yönelik durum tespiti amacını taşıdığından “tanımlayıcı araştırma” niteliğindedir. Araştırma amacı doğrultusunda ihtiyaç duyulan veriler anket formu vasıtasıyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırmaya Ceza İnfaz kurumunda bulunan 329 tutuklu ve hükümlü katılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen veriler SPSS 17.0 istatistik paket programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; hükümlü ve tutukluların ceza infaz kurumlarında verilen eğitimleri ve eğitimcileri yeterli bulmadıkları, eğitimlere katılmama konusunda farklı nedenlerinin olduğu, bu olumsuz görüşlere rağmen eğitimlerin hükümlü ve tutuklulara önemli bireysel katkılar sağladığı tespit edilmiştir.
